Lowering 2007 R1200RT using Hyperpro Lowering Kit. So, I've reviewed all of the threads on lowering bike heights on the RT's, including shocks, low seats, custom seats, increasing the height of your boot soles, etc, etc. I happened to run across this web page from Hyperpro, that sells a 25mm lowering kit for $330.

I see Hornig is offering a lowering kit that reduces height of seat, by adding a part to the shock. not sure yet how that works. about E140 euros.

The Level 1 upgrade kit maintains the stock bike’s 835mm seat height, whilst Level 2 ups ride height by 25mm. The Level 2 rear shock also includes individual high and low speed compression damping adjusters, as well as a Progressive Damping System (PDS) that helps compensate for the lack of dog bone linkage at the rear.

At issue is the seat height even with a lower seat being somewhat of a challenge. She isn't looking to entirely flat foot it, but decidedly something that doesn't keep her on her toes when not moving. I've looked around and it seems that there are a few options to bring the height of the G310GS down, fully realizing that it alters clearance.
